Alaska
United States. AK. Fort Liscum, (open 1900-1922). Dated 1912/08/11. 1-8-10 Japanese character cds ties Scott 92 & 94 on reverse of a post card. A second 1912/08/11 English Osaka cds & Sept. 11 Fort Liscum, Alaska cds on address side. The card to the Presedio of San Francisco, CA. Violet "Change in address due to official order" hand stamp. At top the printed "Union Postale Universelle Carte Postale" has been crossed out and replaced with "Printed Matter". Printed Matter (3rd class mail) was not forwarded without payment of additional postage, but by postal regulations since the change of address was by official order no extra postage was required.
