New Zealand. Dated 187?. An unused 75x42 mm Austin Walsh & Co cigarette card (light toning spot on reverse) showing the 1/2d Victoria Newspaper stamp (Scott #P1). These were inserted in packets of "Atlas" cigarettes, the first manufactured in New Zealand. The firm negotiated with the Post Office a concessional printed matter �d rate that was not extended to any other firm.
