Contrary to the printed message this card was treated at the first class letter rate when it arrived in the U.S. since it contains writing on the address side. The card became short paid & "COLLECT POSTAGE 6 CENTS" hand stamp (3c postage due + 3c penalty) applied. Scott J39 strip of three tied at top used to indicate payment. 21 Feb. Sharon receiving cds at lower left. The Myrtle Bank post office open 1901-1907.
